On 3 November 2019, H.E. General Prayut Chan-o-cha (Ret.), Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Thailand, chaired the 22nd ASEAN-China Summit during the 35th ASEAN Summit and Related Summits. The meeting discussed means to advance the ASEAN-China Strategic Partnership and to further promote regional connectivity, smart cities network and sustainability in all dimensions. Both sides agreed to designate the year 2020 as the year of ASEAN-China Cooperation on Digital Economy.
