ASEAN ICT Masterplan 2020 (AIM 2020)

ASEAN ICT Masterplan 2020 (AIM 2020) was launched at the 15th ASEAN Telecommunications and IT Ministers (TELMIN) in Danang, Viet Nam in November 2015 and is being implemented from 2016-2020. The vision for the AIM 2020 is to propel ASEAN towards a digitally-enabled economy that is secure, sustainable, and transformative; and to enable an innovative, inclusive and integrated ASEAN Community.

During the ASEAN Digital Ministers’ Retreat held between 28-29 March in Phuket, the Ministers provided guidance for the next masterplan and stressed the importance of adopting a proper branding in naming the next masterplan (ASEAN Digital Masterplan 2025) given the horizontal implications of digital transformation.
